A Light of Hope family support groups can be an essential component of recovery resources in the community for families. We network with other professionals and agencies in dovetailing a solid support system vital in the recovery process.
A comprehensive program can include these elements:
- an accountability contract — medical care (residential
- rehab or outpatient
- treatment if necessary) — self-care
- attending other meetings (AA/NA/Al-Anon)
- working a 12-Step Program — addiction and recovery
- education, other community resources and spirituality
- prevention and intervention using a positive peer group that identifies the beginning stages of destructive changes in one’s life
- a family counselor (individual support)
- family support (such as ALOH)
- connection with an Alternative Peer Group
